英語村「６月第２週」

今週はカードゲームを使って英会話を楽しむグループと少人数で会話を楽しむグループに分かれてアクティビティが行われました。

カードゲームのグループからのコメントです。

「英語でのコミュニケーションがいくらか上がったので良かった。また機会があれば行きたい。」
「今回は前より多く話せたので良かった。この調子で頑張りたい。」
「簡単な単語でもパッと思いつかないから難しいと思う時が何回かありました。でも楽しかったです。」

学期末に近づくにつれ、忙しいと思いますが、また参加して下さいね。

英語村「６月第３週」

今週はフランスからの学生を交えて異文化交流が行われました。普段当たり前だと思っていることを聞かれると、答えに困ることもあるのでは？フランス語のアクセント混じりの英語を理解するのは難しかったでしょうか？逆にフランスからの学生は、日本語のアクセント混じりの英語を理解するのは難しかったでしょうか？
また、英語村に来て感想を聞かせて下さい。

カトリーナ先生からのメッセージです。

What an exciting day at the English Village! We wanted to thank the intern students from France who joined us today to answer questions about France, and for asking many interesting questions about Japan. We hope that you’ll enjoy your stay and make many friends along the way.

Thank you also to the students from Rikadai who joined us today and participated in this conversation exchange exercise. Were you surprised by some of their questions about Japan? When you live in a place all of your life it is easy to no longer notice the many interesting and curious things around us. When foreigners ask you questions about Japan and its culture it gives you an opportunity to think about the so many ways Japan is special and beautiful.

I also wanted to mention that it was a unique experience hearing English in a French accent. Were you able to understand most of what was being said? English is an international language spoken by millions of people around the world, all with their own unique accents and cultural influences. This makes English very exciting for me.
