Thank you for joining us this week. We have a fun fact about our last EV, which was held on December 2nd, 2021. Are you ready?
First, we need to:
- Change December to 12
- Change 2nd to 02
- Then put 12 02 2021 together.
We now have 12022021. This makes the date into both a palindrome (it reads the same from left to right and right to left). And if we change the writing to block, we have an ambigram (you can read it upside down). How fun is that?
For another fun date please save Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022.
If you change the date to read 2/22/22 you will see that this special Tuesday is a real “2s” day.
Can you create a similar play on words in Japanese? We’d love to learn about it at the next EV.
Special Announcement: We have one more opening for our Christmas Homestay program! If you’d like to join us for a Turkey dinner, play some fun holiday games, and learn about Christmas traditions from around the world, please sign up soon.
We’re waiting for you!
What a fun day we had at today’s EV! With Christmas around the corner, we played some new conversation games and quizzes. The topic was Christmas and winter holidays. Doesn’t that sound like fun? Don’t worry if you missed out last Thursday. We will bring the same games next Thursday. We also wanted to note that next Thursday is the last EV for this semester. Wow, time flies! Please come and join us at this year’s final EV. See you soon!
