This week we had the opportunity to engage in some fun conversations. We learned about some exciting travel plans some students have made for summer vacation, the origin story of a new band from Rikadai that’s preparing for their first performance, as well as the scariest animals that students have seen “in the wild”.

Some students were able to hear about the pranks we’ve experienced during April Fools day. Would you like a prank day to be part of your culture? Learn more about April Fools here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_Fools%27_Day#In_popular_culture

Today I’d like to leave you with some fun sentences that highlight the sometimes confusing nature of the English language. Could you understand them? Have you come across other confusing sentences? Let’s talk about them next week!

  1.    All the coffee he had had had had no effect.
  2.    English is weird. It can be understood through tough thorough thought though.

See you next week!
